Vicellous Shannon is an actor, producer, and founder of Swoon Entertainment, known for his breakout performance as Lesra Martin in The Hurricane alongside Denzel Washington.
His film work includes D2: The Mighty Ducks, in which he played James, and Annapolis opposite James Franco, Hart’s War alongside Bruce Willis and Colin Farrell, and Freedom Song with Danny Glover, in which he portrayed Owen Walker. He later played Agent Porter alongside Nicolas Cage in The Humanity Bureau and appeared in Distorted with Christina Ricci and John Cusack, and Come Out Fighting with Dolph Lundgren, Kellan Lutz, Michael Jai White, and Tyrese Gibson.
On television, Shannon portrayed Keith Palmer, the son of Dennis Haysbert’s David Palmer, on FOX’s 24. His credits include recurring roles on CSI and JAG, as well as guest appearances on Sons of Anarchy, House, Cold Case, Without a Trace, CSI: Miami, and Judging Amy.
Development & production experience
Shannon’s producing experience includes raising capital for film production and contributing to screenplay development and polishing. He helped develop and polish the screenplays for The Humanity Bureau and Distorted, and helped raise funding for both films. Both films were produced in association with Minds Eye Entertainment.
He also appeared in The Humanity Bureau alongside Nicolas Cage and in Distorted alongside Christina Ricci and John Cusack. This experience across development, financing, and performance informs his work as a producer at Swoon Entertainment.
Born in Memphis and raised in Orange County, Shannon trained at The Actors Workshop in Laguna Hills. Through Swoon Entertainment, he brings his experience in film and television to the development and production of original projects, including psychological thrillers and stories of Black history. He serves as a producer and actor on Timber Falls.
Shannon is the proud father of two daughters.
